The Sierre region is also characterised by a plain full of small lakes and rocky hills. On the right banks of the river Rhone the hillside extends across gentle slopes where the vine has found a favourite terrain.

The Maison Imesch extended its vineyards across the whole Sierre region always favouring the best orientations. At the west of the city, two extraordinary exist: 1) Mangold, that allows the Cornalin to prosper and 2) Pissiour, where the Petite Arvine has found an exceptional terroir.

The Humagne Rouge feels perfectly at home at the Domaine d’Orgéval near St. Léonard. The Domaine de Darnona in Venthône produces a fabulous Pinot Noir. The Petite Arvine acquired is noble reputation as the grapes of Maison Rouge, in Sierre itself.
